Turkish psych band Altın Gün have revealed their new single, ‘Neredesin Sen’. The track, which is the lead single from their upcoming album, Garip, is a continuation of the band’s experimental take on rock and folk. It reinterprets a piece of Turkish folk music by Neşet Ertaş via their trademark swirling textures and motorik rhythms, as well as a distinctive Queens Of The Stone Age-esque edge. On their reinterpretation of Ertaş's music, the band say: “Both of my parents are from Turkey, from the same area he is from. It's the music that I grew up with. When I was five, six years old, my grandfather always had cassettes by Neşet Ertaş and I used to listen to it all day long. Then I was too young to really understand the lyrics and the meaning, but I really liked the melodies.” Garip is out on February 20th, 2026. Be sure to check it out. -Dan Peeke
